Does my text file get uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser on your own device. Your text is never sent to a server, we never see it, and nothing is stored. That makes this safe for logs, meeting notes, draft contracts, and anything else you would rather keep on your machine.
How does the tool handle line breaks and long lines?
Your line breaks are kept exactly as they are in the file. Lines that are too wide for the page wrap automatically at word boundaries, and very long unbroken strings are split so nothing runs off the edge. Pages break automatically as the text flows, so a long file simply becomes a longer PDF.
What page size, font, and margins does the PDF use?
You can pick A4 or Letter, and a font size from 9 to 12 points. The text is set in a standard PDF font with comfortable margins, so the file opens with the same look everywhere and stays small.
What about special characters and other languages?
Standard Western European characters, including accented letters, come through as they are. Characters outside that set, such as emoji or non-Latin scripts, are replaced with a question mark, because the built-in PDF fonts do not cover them. For English text, logs, and code output it works without surprises.
Is there a size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Everything runs on your own device, so the practical ceiling is your browser's memory. Large log files simply produce large page counts, and the tool pages through them automatically.
I work with heavy CAD drawings all day. What about those?
Turning a text file into a PDF is the easy part. The hard part is opening and marking up a 50-200 MB+ AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD export without your PDF tool freezing on scroll and zoom. That is what we built Ncored for, a fast desktop PDF editor for large construction drawings on Windows and Apple Silicon Mac. 14 days free. No signup, no email, nothing to enter.
