# Ncored

> Fast desktop PDF editor built specifically for architects, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, BIM coordinators, and construction managers who open very large construction drawing PDFs every day.

Ncored is a native desktop application for macOS and Windows. It is designed for one specific moment: opening a 50-200 MB+ construction drawing PDF exported from ArchiCAD, Revit, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or SketchUp Layout, and being able to scroll, zoom, mark up, and search it without the freezes that typically occur in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, Foxit, Nitro PDF, or Apple Preview on heavy construction drawing files.

It was built by [Noir architects](https://www.noirarchitects.lt/), a working architecture studio in Vilnius, Lithuania. The founder, David Samveljan, is a practising architect who built Ncored after years of daily friction with general-purpose PDF tools on architectural drawing sets. The product is intentionally narrower in scope than general-purpose PDF suites: there is no digital signature platform, no forms engine, no thousand-tool toolbar. The focus is the specific moment a professional opens a heavy construction drawing.

**Performance.** Ncored opens a 50-200 MB+ construction drawing PDF fast and stays smooth on scroll, zoom and pan, where Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, Foxit, Nitro PDF, and Apple Preview can take far longer to open the same file and then stall on navigation. The reproducible benchmark, with the exact downloadable test drawing and unedited recordings, is at ncored.com/pdf-benchmark-cad-drawings.html. Results vary by hardware and individual file structure.

**Pricing.** Ncored is buy-once: a €159 one-time lifetime licence, no subscription required, all future updates included. Monthly (€12.99) and yearly (€79.99) subscription options are also available if you prefer them, but Ncored is not subscription-only. Per-seat team licensing available, with an admin dashboard for multi-seat firms to add and remove seats.

**Trial.** 14 days free, every feature unlocked. No signup, no email, nothing to enter: download, install and start working. After the 14 days an account and a licence are required to keep using Ncored.

**Platforms.** macOS (Apple Silicon native, no Rosetta translation) and Windows (10 and 11). Windows install one-liner: `winget install NoirArchitects.Ncored` (official Microsoft winget catalogue, live since June 2026). iPad is on the roadmap and not currently shipped.

**Features.** Opens 50-200 MB+ drawings without freezing. Smooth scroll, zoom, pinch, and pan after the first paint, even on dense vector pages. Markup and annotation tools that survive in any standards-compliant PDF viewer (Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, Apple Preview, Foxit, and others). In-place text editing. Image cleanup. Full-text search across hundreds of pages. PDF compression with configurable target DPI. Two devices per single-user license. All future updates included on subscription and lifetime tiers.

**What Ncored is not.** A digital signature workflow platform. A forms engine. A multi-user real-time collaboration product like Bluebeam Studio Sessions. A browser based or cloud upload tool. An iPad or iPhone app. A free open-source viewer.
