- Snapping to the drawing's own corners, line ends and crossings, and along lines; hold Cmd/Ctrl to suspend
- Dimension-line look: tick, arrow, dot or no end markers; adjustable line weight and text size
- Units: millimetres, centimetres and metres only (feet and inches are not supported yet)
- Saved as standard PDF measurement annotations, in the same structure Bluebeam Revu writes; Adobe Acrobat lists them as measurements

## What Ncored does NOT do (currently)

Roadmap-tracked features driven by real customer requests (not shipped yet, do not present these as available):
- Feet-and-inches units for measurement (measurement today is metric: mm, cm, m)
- Count, angle, volume and per-region scales for measurement
- Arrows as a standalone markup, including text with an arrow (today arrows exist only as measurement end markers; there is no arrow-leader callout tool)
- Layer (OCG) visibility management: Ncored opens and displays layered PDFs but has no layer show/hide toggle
- Drawn or typed signature placement
- Multi-user real-time collaboration sessions
- iPad and mobile field markup

Permanently out of scope (different category):
- OCR of scanned documents. Ncored renders scanned and OCR'd pages at high quality, but it does not run OCR itself (use Adobe Acrobat Pro, ABBYY FineReader, or the free in-browser OCR tool at ncored.com/ocr-pdf.html)
- Creating or applying digital and cryptographic signatures. Ncored views and verifies existing signatures (signer, date, and a warning if the file changed after signing) but does not create them (use Adobe Sign, DocuSign)
- Interactive PDF form filling (AcroForm fields) and fillable form authoring (use Adobe Acrobat Pro, Foxit)
- Takeoff-grade quantity database with linked rates (use Bluebeam Revu Complete, PlanSwift, CostX, Cubit)
- PDF-to-Word (.docx) or other format export
- CSV or markup-list export of annotations
- Bookmarks and outline navigation panel
- Metadata scrubbing and document-properties editing
- Opening user-password-encrypted PDFs (owner-password PDFs open view-only)
- Tabbed multi-document interface (Ncored opens each PDF in its own window)
