Frequently Asked Questions

Does my spreadsheet get uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser on your own device. Your spreadsheet is never sent to a server, we never see it, and nothing is stored. That makes this safe for cost plans, BOQs, room schedules, and confidential client data, unlike tools that upload your file to convert it in the cloud.
Which spreadsheet formats can I use?
You can drop .xlsx, .xls, and .csv files. Multi-sheet workbooks are read in full, and you pick which sheets go into the PDF. Each chosen sheet becomes its own section, laid out as a table with its header row repeated when the data runs onto more than one page.
What happens with a very wide spreadsheet that has many columns?
Wide sheets are handled by laying the page out in landscape and shrinking the text to fit as many columns as possible, then paginating downward as the rows continue. A sheet with a large number of columns can still get tight, so for dense schedules it helps to hide columns you do not need in Excel first, or split the sheet. The tool tells you the row and column count it found so there are no surprises.
Is it really free, and is there a watermark?
It is free, with no signup, no email, and no watermark added to your PDF. It is a small thank-you tool from the team behind Ncored.
I work with heavy CAD drawings all day. What about those?
Turning a schedule into a PDF is the easy part. The hard part is opening and marking up a 50-200 MB+ AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD export without your PDF tool freezing on scroll and zoom. That is exactly what we built Ncored for, a fast desktop PDF editor for large construction drawings on Windows and Apple Silicon Mac. There is a free 14-day trial at ncored.com.
